You ever think about how decisions you make now affect the future?
Everything we do adds up.
For example, I could perhaps commit myself to running every single day starting today. I don’t know why I’d do that. I don’t really enjoy running, but who knows? In a few weeks, I may start to enjoy it. The decision would have foreseeable results, such as calves more amazing than the ones I currently have. On the other hand, it could have results that are not so predictable, such as me becoming a Calvin Klein model or me living forever. Also, I could maybe get injured or die, but let’s not focus on that.
Look, I’m not trying to tell you how to live your life, but try to make the decision that you think will work out best for you, especially in the long run. I picked up the guitar a few years ago and decided to learn it, and now, I can play the guitar. That was a decent decision. Past me did good there.
Today, I bought a crap bagel and ate it. Not the best decision, but hopefully it has good results.
Who knows how any decision will turn out? I certainly don’t.
Thanks for deciding to read this.
